The 1837 Barossa Winery is owned by Club members Guido and Nelly Auchli and is a premium wine producer
that commemorates the date on which Colonel William Light, founder of Adelaide and first Surveyor-General
of South Australia named the Barossa in December 1837. The Barossa Colonel Light Monument, a life-size
bronze monument of Colonel Light on horseback and the iconic Barossa Manor honour the birthplace of Barossa on the estate.
1837 Barossa Winery is located in Lyndoch, only 50 minutes from Adelaide CBD. The spectacular estate features
the Horizon@1837 Restaurant and Cellar Door, the Wine Pavilion and Seminar Center, the 1837 Luxury Vineyard Cottages,
a Wine and Gift shop and an Outdoor modern art trail. This is probably the best views of the Barossa.
Lunch details will be provided and meeting spot for the cruise will be provided.
